About PNG to JPG Converter
Converting PNG to JPG is usually about reducing file size β PNG’s lossless compression keeps every detail but produces meaningfully larger files, and JPG’s lossy compression can shrink that same image considerably with a quality trade-off that’s often unnoticeable at normal viewing sizes.
The one thing this conversion can’t preserve is transparency β JPG has no transparency channel, so any transparent areas in your original PNG will be filled with a solid color (typically white) during conversion. If your PNG has genuine transparency you need to keep, converting to JPG isn’t the right move; a different format like WebP (which supports both smaller files and transparency) may be a better fit.
This conversion is one-way in terms of quality β once JPG compression has been applied, that specific quality loss can’t be reversed by converting back to PNG afterward. If you might need the original quality again later, keep your source PNG rather than relying on a converted JPG as your only copy.
