About Round Image Corners Online

Rounded corners on an image β€” rather than sharp rectangular edges β€” is a common, simple design treatment for profile photos, app icons, and cards in a modern interface design.

This tool adds a transparent, rounded-corner mask to any image, with an adjustable corner radius so you control how subtle or pronounced the rounding is, from barely-there to fully circular for a square source image.

The result is a PNG with transparency in the corner areas, so it displays correctly with rounded edges regardless of what background color or image sits behind it wherever you use the result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to round the corners of an image?

Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, then drag the Corner Roundness slider until the preview looks right and click Download PNG. The rounding is applied at the full resolution of your original image, not just the preview, and the corners outside the curve become transparent.

How round can the corners be?

The slider starts at 0 for sharp corners and goes up to half of the image's shorter side. At that maximum, a square image becomes a circle and a wide image becomes a pill shape. The same proportion is applied when the full-size file is exported.

Why does the rounded image download as a PNG?

The corners are cut away and left transparent, and JPG cannot store transparency. PNG can, so the file downloads as rounded-corners.png. If you place it on a coloured page or slide, the background shows through the corners instead of white.

Is my image uploaded when I round its corners?

No. The corners are drawn on a canvas inside your browser, so the image stays on your device. There is no signup and no watermark. Only one image is handled at a time, and closing the tab discards it.
