About Extract Pages From PDF

Sometimes you need one specific page β€” or a handful of specific, non-consecutive pages β€” pulled out of a larger PDF into a new, standalone file, without the surrounding pages that aren’t relevant to what you’re sending or using.

This differs from splitting a PDF into multiple output files: extraction produces one single new PDF containing just your selected pages, combined together, rather than multiple separate files. If you need several separate outputs instead of one combined result, Split PDF is the better fit.

A common real use case: pulling the signature page and one supporting exhibit out of a much longer legal or contract document, to send just the relevant portion rather than the entire file, while keeping page order and formatting exactly as it appeared in the original.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to extract pages from a PDF?

Choose your PDF, click the page thumbnails you want to keep, then click Extract Selected Pages and download the result. Select All and Select None buttons help with large documents. The work is done in your browser.

How to extract pages from a PDF to create a new PDF?

Select the pages you need from the thumbnails and extract them. They are copied into a single new PDF, and your original file is not changed. Text stays selectable because pages are copied, not converted to images.

How to extract pages from a PDF on iPhone?

Open the page in your iPhone browser, choose the PDF from Files, tap the page thumbnails you want and extract. No app is needed. Very large PDFs can strain phone memory while thumbnails load.

Can I reorder pages while extracting?

No. Selected pages are saved in their original order, not the order you clicked them. To combine extracts from several files or change the order, extract first and then join the results with the merge PDF tool.
